


The Department of Public Finance and Taxation at National Taipei University of Business has long been committed to cultivating financial and tax professionals with both theoretical and practical skills. In recent years, it has achieved outstanding results in national examinations, including the Higher Education Examinations, General Examinations, Special Examinations, and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. Statistics show that in the 2024-2025 academic year, nearly 70 students from the department passed the national examinations, and many alumni passed the CPA and international certification examinations, demonstrating the solid foundation and excellent results of Taipei University of Business's vocational education.
In the 2024 national examinations, 20 graduating students and 2 alumni passed the National Higher Education Examinations, General Examinations, and the CPA Examination, respectively. In 2025, further good news followed, with 21 graduating students achieving top scores in the National Higher Education Examinations, General Examinations, and Special Local Examinations. Notably, among the 26 graduating students in the two-year technical college program, 5 passed civil service examinations during their studies, and 4 passed the National College Entrance Examination again in 2025. Among the four-year technical college students, 2 passed the Special Local Examinations during their studies and also achieved top scores in the National College Entrance Examination in 2025. Many students passed the general entrance exams during their studies and then advanced to the university entrance exams the following year, demonstrating the school's strong professional training capabilities and the students' continuous pursuit of excellence.
Furthermore, the master's students also performed exceptionally well. Lin Yu-chieh excelled in the third-level accounting exam, Liao Chun-hao passed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) exam, and Huang Yu-ting obtained her Taiwanese accountant qualification, showcasing the Department of Finance and Taxation's fruitful achievements in cultivating international professional certifications and the accounting field. Successful applicants generally stated that although the exam preparation process was extremely stressful, the Department of Finance and Taxation's comprehensive theoretical courses and practical training enabled them to flexibly apply their knowledge to answer exam questions. The meticulous guidance of teachers and the mutual support among peers were also crucial factors in their success.
Department Chair Chen Jinmei of the Department of Public Finance and Taxation stated, "The Department of Public Finance and Taxation has long focused on vocational education, combining theoretical teaching with public service guidance to help students build a professional foundation and exam-taking skills during their studies. In addition to promoting practical tax courses, tax declaration service learning, and off-campus internships, the department also actively collaborates with industry and the public sector to hold seminars to help students deepen their career development direction and professional competitiveness." In the future, the Department of Public Finance and Taxation will continue to optimize the content of professional courses such as taxation, public finance, and accounting, and combine digital technology and the development trend of smart taxation to cultivate public finance and taxation professionals with an international perspective and policy application capabilities to meet the challenges of the new era of public finance and taxation.
