This year's competition attracted 140 teams from 20 universities in Thailand, Taiwan, and Indonesia. After a highly competitive preliminary round, only 81 teams advanced to the finals in Bangkok, with two teams from NTUB successfully qualifying. The runner-up team, NTUB_NPV_MAX, comprised Ku Kai-Chi, Ho Yi-Shan, Fang Yen-Li, and Li Chen-Hsuan, among others. They distinguished themselves in the finals with their excellent corporate strategy planning, accurate financial decision-making, and sound market analysis.
The two teams, composed of students from the Departments of International Business, Business Administration, Finance, Digital Media, and the Graduate Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, showcased their interdisciplinary collaboration capabilities. They received comprehensive and rigorous training before the competition. Assistant Professor Ya-Ching Chan from the Department of Business Administration and Professor Chung-Kai Huang from the Department of International Business were respectively responsible for planning and guidance in business management simulation training and English presentation skills. Through this dual-track approach of interdisciplinary learning and international competence development, the students demonstrated outstanding teamwork and international communication skills during the competition, fully reflecting the university's remarkable achievements in cultivating international talent.
This competition utilized a simulated business management system throughout. Students were required to make optimal decisions regarding raw material procurement, production capacity allocation, pricing strategies, marketing planning, and R&D investment within a limited time. Taipei University of Business's ability to stand out among numerous international teams reflects the university's long-term commitment to a teaching model that emphasizes "decision-oriented, practice-integrated, and international standards."
President Li-Chung Jen stated that Taipei University of Business's runner-up finish in this international competition fully demonstrates the university's long-term dedication to innovative teaching, corporate decision-making training, and international curriculum development. In the future, Taipei University of Business will continue to promote international exchange and industry-academia cooperation, deepen the practical connection of professional courses, and invest more resources to cultivate a new generation of young people with innovative abilities, decision-making power and competitiveness, so that Taiwanese students can continue to shine on the international stage.
