National Taipei University of Business (NTBU) has long been committed to promoting academic research and knowledge exchange. Since 2001, it has continuously held the "NTBU Academic Forum." With the dedicated efforts of successive department heads and the strong support of faculty and scholars both within and outside the university, it has gradually established a solid and profound academic foundation, becoming a highly representative academic exchange platform in the field of business management in Taiwan. This fully demonstrates the university's steadfast achievements in continuously accumulating research capabilities and refining academic quality.
Continuing this long-standing academic tradition, the "2025 25th National Taipei University of Business Academic Forum – Symposium on Business and Management Practices" is jointly organized by the College of Management and the Department of Business Administration of NTBU, in collaboration with the Chinese Six Standard Deviation Management Association and the Taiwan Quality Education Foundation. Through an open call for papers, scholars in related fields across Taiwan are invited to participate. This year's submissions were enthusiastic, with a diverse range of research topics covering production and operations management, marketing management, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, finance, strategy and technology management, information and digital business management, innovation and entrepreneurship management, real estate management, as well as cutting-edge issues such as AI and metaverse management, six standard deviations, and ESG.
Overall, the research topics at this year's symposium demonstrated both depth and maturity, closely aligning with international academic trends. To recognize research achievements and academic contributions, the symposium presented a "Best Paper Award" after the conference for outstanding research papers. A total of 121 papers were received; after committee recommendations and discussions, 24 best papers were selected and commended, fully demonstrating the forum's high standards for research quality. Furthermore, this year's symposium attracted many young scholars, indicating a steady accumulation of research energy in business management.
To deepen the dialogue between academia and practice, this symposium specially invited Ms. Tsai Chun-Yi, Head of the Service Development Division of the Commercial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, to be the opening speaker, sharing international development trends and practical business experience regarding AI applications and policy promotion in the business service industry. In his address, President Ren Lizhong of Taipei University of Business Administration (TUBA) affirmed the diversity and breadth of research in business management and encouraged scholars to continue deepening their research and submit their findings to TUBA's academic forum. TUBA hopes that this forum will further promote academic exchange and practical dialogue, enabling research results to be widely shared with academia and industry, injecting long-term and stable momentum into the field of business management.
