The National Taipei University of Business (NTUB) celebrated its 108th anniversary on December 20th. Faculty, students, alumni, and distinguished guests gathered to witness the university's significant achievements in teaching, research, internationalization, industry-academia collaboration, and campus development over the past year. President Lai Ching-te, Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu, and Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an all sent congratulatory messages, recognizing NTBU's long-standing commitment to business education and its outstanding contributions to cultivating professional talent for the nation and society. The ceremony was both solemn and warm.

In his address, President Jen Li-chung stated that 2025 will be a significant year for NTBU, marked by both "accumulation and breakthroughs." Thanks to the joint efforts of all faculty and students, the university has achieved remarkable results in teaching innovation, academic research, competition performance, international exchange, and campus development, demonstrating NTBU's solid strength and continued momentum as a leader in commercial and vocational education. President Ren further pointed out that this year, Taipei University of Business (TUB) continued to deepen its research and teaching practices. 25 teaching practice research projects were approved, a success rate higher than the national average. The university received nearly NT$100 million in subsidies under the Higher Education Deep Cultivation Project, an increase of over 30% compared to last year, demonstrating the Ministry of Education's high regard for TUB's educational direction and teaching quality.

In terms of concrete actions for university development, TUB continued to invest in campus construction and upgrading the digital learning environment. This included the official opening of the new gate at the Taoyuan campus, which integrates traditional business imagery with educational spirit, creating a symbolic campus entrance; the completion of a brand-new sports field at the Taipei campus, further optimizing the sports and learning environment; and the simultaneous digitization of classrooms across the university, introducing AI-assisted teaching tools to comprehensively improve teaching quality and learning flexibility.

In addition to infrastructure development, TUB also continued to deepen its connections with industry, government, and academia, actively hosting numerous domestic and international seminars covering important areas such as organizational innovation, AI industry-academia applications, sustainable transformation, and financial development. Among the highlights, the "Innovative City Marketing Forum," hosted for the first time by the Institute for Advanced Study, garnered significant attention from industry, government, and academia. A City Marketing Research Center will be established to provide long-term strategic advice to governments and businesses, showcasing Taipei University of Business's think tank value within the vocational and technical education system, combining practical experience with forward-thinking perspectives.

This anniversary celebration also served as a crucial moment for strengthening alumni bonds. Distinguished alumnus and Minister of Sports, Li Yang, recorded a congratulatory video, sharing his gratitude and memories of his alma mater and encouraging younger students to bravely pursue their dreams and continuously strive for breakthroughs, making it one of the most touching and heartwarming moments of the ceremony. On the day of the event, in addition to captivating performances by student clubs such as the Dance Club and the Hot Dance Club, and a heartwarming birthday greeting from the alumni choir, the anniversary carnival featured charity booths and a joint exhibition by student clubs, fully demonstrating Taipei University of Business's generational heritage and vibrant, diverse campus life.

Amidst the joyous and lively anniversary celebrations, National Taipei University of Business, building upon its 108 years of profound educational heritage, continues to accumulate strength, dares to break through and innovate, and steadily moves towards becoming a model university of business and vocational education that combines professional strength, social responsibility, and international influence.
