NTUB Department of International Business Climbs into Top Tier of 100 Most Popular Programs.
Taiwan’s leading higher education information platform, UniversityAsk, recently released its “2026 High School Students’ Top 100 Most Popular Programs” ranking, which uses big data analysis to reflect actual trends in student interest. In the latest list, the National Taipei University of Business Department of International Business once again made the top 100, rising significantly from 71st place in 2025 to 44th place in 2026. This substantial improvement highlights the program’s strong recognition among students and its growing brand appeal.
In terms of overall performance in the finance and business field, NTUB’s International Business program ranked third nationwide, trailing only National Taiwan University Department of Finance (14th) and National Taiwan University Department of Economics (37th). Standing out among numerous public and private universities, the program has secured a position in the top tier nationally and serves as a leading force within the technical-vocational university system.
According to UniversityAsk statistics, only eight finance-related programs made the top 100 in 2026, indicating fierce competition. Besides NTUB’s International Business program, the other programs included National Chengchi University Department of Finance (55th), National Taiwan University Department of International Business (77th), National Central University Department of Finance (82nd), Fu Jen Catholic University Department of Finance and International Business (89th), and National Taiwan University Department of Accounting (91st). In this highly competitive finance and business cluster, NTUB’s International Business program leads most top-ranked universities, delivering particularly impressive results.
UniversityAsk analysts noted: “Students in the social science track focus strongly on finance programs that offer tangible career value and professional certifications. In uncertain economic conditions, finance-related programs with close industry connections remain the top choice for high-achieving students.” This trend underscores the critical role that finance programs play in shaping high school students’ application priorities.
The NTUB Department of International Business attributed the program’s significant rise in ranking to the sustained efforts of faculty and students in teaching innovation, curriculum refinement, and ongoing industry collaboration. By emphasizing practical, hands-on training, the program equips students with competitive professional skills and career development readiness. Moving forward, the department will continue to integrate cross-disciplinary resources and cultivate top-tier business professionals with a global perspective.
