NTUB Student Gu Kai-Chi Wins 3 Championships and 3 Runner-Up Titles in One Year Secures 10 Domestic and International Awards, Showcasing Cross-Disciplinary Financial Expertise


The Department of Finance at National Taipei University of Business has once again achieved outstanding results. In 2025, student Gu Kai-Chi demonstrated exceptional cross-disciplinary capabilities by sweeping major domestic and international competitions, earning a remarkable record of 10 awards, including three championships, three runner-up titles, and four individual honors. With strong institutional support and dedicated mentorship from faculty members, Gu successfully transformed digital finance concepts into practical industry applications. His achievements span fields such as AI financial technology, marketing decision-making, and international business competitions, reflecting NTUB’s strong educational foundation in cultivating digital business and management professionals.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Gu brings valuable industry experience, having served as a campus ambassador for Binance and as Taiwan ambassador for UPTX. His background in Web3 technologies has enabled him to effectively integrate emerging technologies into business proposals, turning them into a competitive advantage in major competitions. Reviewing his achievements in 2025, Gu won championships in the “2025 National Marketing Winner Decision Competition,” the “5th AI FinTech Innovation and Creativity Competition,” and the “3rd Chuangxiang Cup National College Innovation Proposal Competition,” demonstrating comprehensive capabilities ranging from market analysis and financial innovation to practical implementation.
He also extended his achievements to the international stage. At the “International MBS Business Management Simulation Competition 2025” held in Thailand and the English-language “Taiwan 2025 Business Simulation Competition,” Gu earned runner-up titles in both events, demonstrating strong English communication skills and logical decision-making abilities in an international competitive environment.
Reflecting on his achievements, Gu humbly noted that his success was made possible by the university’s well-established training system and the strong support of faculty mentors across departments. He expressed special thanks to professors Wang Chih-Yi, Wu Jui-Hsuan, and Lin Wen-Chun from the Department of Finance for building a solid foundation in financial expertise and strategic thinking; Professor Chan Ya-Ching from the Department of Business Administration for guidance in business model development; and Professor Huang Chung-Kai from the Department of International Business for broadening his global perspective. Through the mentorship of these cross-disciplinary faculty members, Gu was able to seamlessly integrate classroom knowledge with industry needs and continually push his limits in high-pressure competitions.
